In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, although monsters typically prefer the wilderness, they occasionally attack villages. One such threat you'll encounter is the rampaging Alpha Doshaguma. To conquer this beast, you'll need strategic planning and the right tools.

Known Habitats – Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, and Ruins of Wyveria
Breakable Parts – Tail and Forelegs
Recommended Elemental Attack – Fire and Lightning
Effective Status Effects – Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (2x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (2x)
Effective Items – Flash Pod, Shock Trap, Pitfall Trap
Doshaguma is an agile beast, despite its massive size. It can leap and dash across the battlefield, making it challenging to land hits, especially for melee weapon users. Utilizing a Flash Pod can temporarily blind and stun the monster, offering you a window to attack or even mount its back.
Targeting Doshaguma’s legs, particularly the forelegs, is highly effective due to their 3-star weakness. While the back legs are less vulnerable with a 2-star rating, they're still viable. The head is another prime target with a 3-star weakness. Although less impactful, striking the tail can also yield additional parts upon breaking.
In your battle against Doshaguma, fire and lightning are your best elemental allies. Bowgun users should load up with Flaming and Thunder ammo. Enhance your weapons with fire skill decorations for maximum impact. Aim for the head and torso when using fire, and focus exclusively on the head for lightning attacks.
Doshaguma not only deals physical damage but can also inflict Blastblight, which can lead to an explosion if the gauge fills or you suffer a heavy hit. Counter this with Nulberry or Deodorant, or dodge-roll up to three times to dispel the effect.
Don't just focus on direct combat; make use of the environment. Doshaguma's territory often features natural traps you can activate to your advantage. Ensure your weapon is sheathed before deploying your slinger, and make sure the monster is precisely positioned under the trap before triggering it.

In addition to defeating Doshaguma, you can capture it in Monster Hunter Wilds. To do this, weaken the monster until its HP drops to 20% or below. Then, set a Shock or Pitfall Trap. Lure the monster onto the trap using Luring Ammo or meat as bait if necessary. Once trapped, quickly administer tranquilizers, possibly multiple doses, to ensure the beast falls asleep.
That covers everything you need to know about confronting and capturing Doshaguma in Monster Hunter Wilds. Remember to fuel up with a nutritious meal before the battle to gain beneficial food buffs.
