Mech BREAK, the exciting multiplayer mech game, recently wrapped up its open beta on Steam, which concluded on March 16. The beta attracted a massive audience, peaking at over 300,000 players and securing its position as the 5th most wishlisted game on Steam. The developers at Chinese studio Amazing Seasun have taken note of the valuable feedback received during this period and are now mulling over some significant changes, including the possibility of making all mechs, or Break Strikers, available from the start of the game.
Currently, players begin with access to just one Break Striker. To unlock the remaining 11, players must grind through numerous multiplayer matches to accumulate enough in-game currency. This process can be time-consuming, and the developers are considering ways to make the game more accessible and enjoyable from the outset. The proposed change would allow players immediate access to all 12 Break Strikers, potentially revolutionizing the early game experience.
In addition to the mech availability, Amazing Seasun is also evaluating the use of mech modules in 3v3 and 6v6 competitive modes. While these potential updates are under consideration, the studio has yet to commit to any changes. They believe that adopting a live service model at launch is crucial for the game's long-term success and sustainability.
