For those unfamiliar, Metal Slug is a renowned Japanese run-and-gun series, originating in 1996 from Nazca Corporation and later expanding into a multimedia franchise.

While not the first mobile Metal Slug title (preceding games include Metal Slug Defense, Attack, and Commander), Awakening promises a significant upgrade.
