Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has soared to the top as Capcom's fastest-selling title, moving over 8 million units within three days of its release. Capcom proudly announced this achievement on their official website, highlighting MH Wilds as a record-breaking entry in their storied history.

According to data from SteamDB, MH Wilds has enjoyed significant success since its launch, with over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam, despite garnering mixed reviews. Capcom credits this success to their extensive promotional efforts, including showcasing the game at major global gaming events and conducting an open beta test that allowed players to experience the game firsthand.

Latest Update Addressed Game-Breaking Bug

In response to player feedback, MH Wilds has rolled out a crucial update addressing several bugs that were hindering gameplay progression. Monster Hunter's official support account, Monster Hunter Status, announced via Twitter (X) on March 4, 2025, that the hot fix patch Ver.1.000.04.00 is now available on all platforms.

This update tackles a range of issues, including the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features not unlocking as expected, the inability to access the Monster Field Guide, and a critical game-breaking bug that was preventing story progression in Chapter 5-2, "A World Turned Upside Down." Players are required to update the game before they can continue playing online.

However, not all bugs were resolved in this patch. Issues such as network errors when firing an SOS flare after a quest starts, and Palico's blunt weapon attacks not causing stun and exhaust damage, remain. Capcom has indicated that these multiplayer-related bugs will be addressed in a forthcoming update.
