Netflix Unveils Squid Game Season 3 with Release Date and Previews

Netflix has announced that Squid Game Season 3 will premiere on June 27, 2025. Accompanying the announcement are a new poster and images offering a glimpse into the fate of the surviving players.

The new season picks up where Season 2 concluded, focusing on Gi-hun's (Lee Jung-jae) agonizing choices amidst overwhelming despair. Meanwhile, the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) orchestrates his next move, leading the surviving contestants into increasingly perilous situations with each deadly game. Netflix promises a season that will heighten suspense and drama.

The poster depicts a chilling scene: a pink-clad guard dragging a bloodied contestant towards a pink-ribboned coffin. The vibrant flower-patterned floor replaces the rainbow track of Season 2, foreshadowing a brutal climax. The ominous silhouettes of Young-hee and Cheol-su, teased in the Season 2 post-credit scene, hint at even more brutal games to come.

Squid Game Season 2 achieved phenomenal success, becoming the third most-watched season on Netflix ever, with a record-breaking 68 million views in its premiere week. It topped the Top 10 TV Series (Non-English) list in 92 countries. Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger, perfectly setting the stage for Season 3. While the episode count for Season 3 remains unconfirmed, Season 2's seven episodes were released on December 26, 2024.
