Dungeonborne, the PvPvE action game drawing inspiration from the popular Dark and Darker, is shutting down. Less than a year after launch, the developers have announced the end of support and the closure of its servers, citing low player activity and a lack of substantial updates as the primary reasons.
While the game's Steam page remains accessible via direct link, it's no longer discoverable through the platform's search function. The official statement lacks specific details regarding the shutdown, but the dwindling player base speaks volumes. Since late 2024, concurrent player counts rarely exceeded 200, plummeting to a mere 10-15 in recent days.
All servers will be permanently offline as of May 28th, bringing a premature end to Dungeonborne's lifespan. Despite initial interest from fans of the genre, the game ultimately failed to gain traction and will now be relegated to gaming history.
