Palworld 0.5.0 Update: Crossplay, Blueprint Upgrades, Photo Mode Added

The latest update, v0.5.0, for the wildly popular game *Palworld* introduces a game-changing feature: crossplay across all platforms, allowing players to enjoy the game together regardless of the device they're using. This update also brings the ability to store Pal data in the Global Palbox, making it easier to transfer your Pals between different worlds. The new Dimensional Pal Storage system offers a massive 10 times the capacity of the regular Palbox, and it's not just for guilds; you can use it as personal storage with customizable privacy settings.

In addition to these storage enhancements, *Palworld* now features a cosmetic armor system, enabling you to change your character's appearance without impacting your armor stats through the Antique Dresser. A new photo mode lets you capture stunning in-game moments by hiding the UI and freely moving the camera. The introduction of a Drafting Table allows you to upgrade low-rarity blueprints into higher-rarity ones, enhancing your crafting options. Dedicated servers for Mac users are also part of this update, ensuring a smoother experience for those on Apple devices.

Developer Pocketpair is not stopping there; they are actively working on dedicated servers for the PlayStation 5 version, set to be released in the future. Since its early access launch in January 2024, *Palworld* has attracted an astonishing 32 million players. The studio has shared a content roadmap for 2025 that includes not only crossplay but also an "ending scenario" and other exciting new content for this beloved creature-catching survival game.

*Palworld* initially launched on Steam for $30 and was immediately available on Xbox and PC via Game Pass, setting records for sales and concurrent players. The game's success led Pocketpair to form Palworld Entertainment with Sony to expand the IP, including a PlayStation 5 release. However, the game faces a legal challenge from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, who are seeking an injunction and damages, alleging patent infringement. Pocketpair has responded by adjusting gameplay mechanics and is prepared to defend their position in court.

▼Specification Adjustments
・Buildings can now be placed even if they overlap with a Pal
・When connecting foundations or roofs, the connected pieces will now automatically align in the same direction
・Assigning an Ice Pal to the Flea Market will slow down item decay in storage and sales
・Added torches at the entrances of random dungeons for better visibility
・Players can now sit on chairs and cushions
・Some weapons that dealt ultra-high damage to trees will no longer drop items upon destruction
・Added new NPCs and improved NPC behaviour during conversations

▼Balance Adjustments
・Adjusted elemental chest rewards. Dog Coins will always drop from these chests and they also have a small chance of containing work suitability books. (Existing chests in current worlds will retain old drop tables; new ones will follow the updated table.)
・Increased EXP gained from defeating the Attack Chopper
・Increased the DPS of Flamethrowers
・Adjusted the default attack used by Electric and Dark Pals when all active skills are on cooldown, making them more in line with the other elements
・Some human NPCs now have work suitability and work animations when assigned tasks at a base
・Summoned raid bosses can no longer damage other bases
・Added Water attribute to Dumud
・NPC event rewards have been adjusted. To maintain fairness, all NPC conversation logs have been reset, allowing players to claim rewards again!
