Witch Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Infernalist

The Infernalist stands out as one of the most powerful Witches, boasting an impressive arsenal of fire spells. If you're a fan of summoning minions, you'll be thrilled with the new Infernal Hound skill, summoning a hellish beast to aid you in battle. The Infernalist can also transform into a demonic form, boosting attack damage and mobility, though at the cost of quicker health depletion. To counter this, the Loyal Hellhound skill is essential. Additionally, the Beidat's Will node ties your Spirit to your maximum HP, encouraging investment in this stat alongside Strength, allowing you to command an army of the undead.

Blood Mage

Though not as popular or well-balanced as the Infernalist, the Blood Mage offers a unique and engaging playstyle. With Sanguimancy, you'll teeter on the edge of life and death, using HP instead of MP. This requires careful management, as recklessness can lead to quick demise. Skills like Vitality Siphon and Life Remnants help drain enemy health, while Sunder the Flesh and Gore Spike enhance your critical hit chances and attack damage, respectively.

Sorcerer Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Stormweaver

Stormweaver is a Sorcerer who excels in dealing massive elemental damage, often with high critical hit chances, triggering Elemental Storm via Tempest Caller. Inflicting status ailments on enemies is key, aided by the Strike Twice passive. With Spirit Gems, you can amplify damage against groups of affected enemies. Constant Gale and Force of Will enhance spell casting speed and MP regeneration, vital for a magic-heavy playstyle. The Heart of the Storm node boosts survivability by converting part of Elemental Damage into an Energy Shield.

Chronomancer

The Chronomancer introduces a fresh approach to combat with its time manipulation abilities, a feature not seen in the original Path of Exile. Exclusive spells like Temporal Rift and Time Freeze open up new tactical possibilities. While not the strongest Sorcerer Ascendancy yet, it holds significant potential. Key skills like Now and Again, Apex of the Moment, and Quicksand Hourglass offer unique advantages, such as avoiding cooldowns, slowing enemies, and speeding up magic creation.

Warrior Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Warbringer

The Warbringer combines war cries with totem summons for close combat, aiming to maximize melee damage. Effective even against bosses, totems can distract enemies and absorb damage. Enhance your build with Imploding Impacts and Anvil’s Weight for better armor penetration. Warcaller’s Bellow causes enemy corpses to explode upon using a Warcry, while Greatwolf’s Howl removes Warcry cooldowns. For a defensive approach, Renly’s Training and Turtle Charm will boost your shield and blocking capabilities.

Titan

Prefer control over risk? The Titan offers powerful, slow attacks that paralyze enemies, requiring them to break through thick armor. Stone Skin and Mysterious Lineage bolster your defense by increasing equipped gear's power and max HP. Beyond defense, the Titan can deal significant damage with Earthbreaker and Ancestral Empowerment, enhancing Slam abilities. Surprising Strength boosts damage against stunned foes by 40%.

Invoker

The Invoker harnesses elemental power, offering powerful abilities and status-enhancing effects for a melee-focused playstyle. Utilizing elemental damage and status effects, you can annihilate foes and trigger potent effects. The use of Power Charges adds strategic depth to this class.

Acolyte of Chayula

Embracing Darkness, the Acolyte of Chayula gains control over dark forces. With Embrace the Darkness, you forgo the Spirit resource, increasing max Darkness to 100 and enhancing survivability. Combining Consuming Questions with Mana Leech reinforces defenses, though caution is needed as it removes the Energy Shield's cooldown, relying solely on MP drain, which is currently not efficient enough.

Mercenary Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Witchhunter

The Witchhunter is one of the strongest classes, excelling in hunting and swiftly eliminating demons and the undead. With increased damage on both the first and last hits, it clears weaker enemies quickly. Against bosses, passive skills like Pitiless Killer, Damage vs Low Life Enemies, and Judge, Jury, and Executioner are crucial. Witchbane and No Mercy focus on reducing enemy concentration and dealing increased damage. The Zealous Inquisition node has a 10% chance to make slain enemies explode, damaging their allies.

Gemling Legionnaire

The Gemling Legionnaire's gameplay revolves around gems, enhancing resistances, skill levels, and even offering additional active skill slots. Thaumaturgical Infusion boosts resistances based on equipped gem colors, while Crystalline Potential and Implanted Gems enhance all skills. Advanced Thaumaturgy reduces skill costs and attribute requirements, and Integrated Efficiency adds three more active skill slots. Gem Studded allows the use of two identical Support stones, opening up vast potential for experimentation.

Ranger Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Deadeye

The Deadeye is perfect for ranged combat enthusiasts, enhancing attack range and damage output. Endless Munitions lets you fire an additional projectile per skill use, great for clearing screens of enemies. This path suits those who prefer bows over crossbows and focus on elemental damage, with increased movement speed and additional Marks proving invaluable.

Pathfinder

The Pathfinder is ideal for those who love the color green and poisoning mechanics. With Overwhelming Toxicity, you double the Poison applied to enemies, though with a shorter debuff duration. The gas grenade, combined with high movement speed and slow resistance, allows you to blanket the battlefield in toxic mist, offering a unique and potent gameplay experience.

As Path of Exile 2 progresses through early access, these are the currently available specialization paths, with more to be added over time. Future updates may also alter passive skills, so the details in this guide could differ from the final version.
