Hazelight Studios, known for their excellent couch co-op games, has released their latest title, Split Fiction. A key question on many gamers' minds is whether this game can be played solo. The short answer is no.
Like previous Hazelight Studios games, Split Fiction heavily emphasizes cooperative gameplay, either online or via local couch co-op. There's no single-player mode, no AI companion, and the intricate, precisely timed gameplay makes solo play practically impossible, even with multiple controllers.
Fortunately, Hazelight offers a convenient solution: the Friend's Pass. This allows a friend to join in the fun, regardless of platform (PlayStation, Xbox, or PC). Here's how it works:
The Friend's Pass supports cross-platform play via PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Steam, Epic Games Store, and the EA app. Even using the EA Friends list works for sending invites. This generous system makes it easy for friends to try the game before buying their own copy.
That covers everything you need to know about solo play in Split Fiction. Remember, Split Fiction launches March 6th on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
