The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, "Shining Revelry," has brought a dazzling array of shiny variants to the game, introducing over 110 new cards to the mix. This expansion includes cards from the Paldea region, adding even more excitement to the fray. As soon as the update went live, I couldn't resist spending some of my hard-earned Pack Hourglasses to open ten packs. To my delight, I pulled a Charizard EX, though the rest of the haul was less impressive. However, pulling a Pokémon Center Lady card gave me some comfort, as her ability to heal Special Conditions can be a game-changer when dealing with pesky status effects like Burn.

But the real thrill comes with the introduction of Ranked Matches. These matches will pit you against other Trainers as you climb from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Your performance will be tracked with points, and at the end of the roughly one-month season, you'll be awarded an emblem. It's time to dust off those dueling skills and start crafting competitive decks.
