The Pokémon Trading Card Game (PTCGO) Space Time Smackdown expansion, released January 30th, features a Weavile ex card depicting a scene that has sparked outrage among players. Specifically, the full-art, 2-Star version shows a group of Weavile poised to attack an unsuspecting Swinub.
This depiction of potential predation has generated significant negative reactions online. Reddit posts highlighting the artwork have garnered thousands of upvotes, with comments expressing concern and sadness for the Swinub's fate. The graphic nature of the card's artwork, showcasing Pokémon potentially killing each other, has been a point of contention.

However, some players offer a more optimistic interpretation, pointing to the Mamoswine full-art card as a possible happy ending. This card shows Mamoswine protectively looking upwards, seemingly aware of the Weavile and safeguarding Swinub.

The Space Time Smackdown expansion, themed around Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, includes 207 cards, featuring Pokémon such as Weavile, Mamoswine, Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. While smaller than the Genetic Apex expansion, it boasts a higher percentage of rare alternate art cards (52 compared to Genetic Apex's 60).
Despite the controversy surrounding the Weavile card and a recent trading update, Creatures Inc. has yet to publicly address player concerns. While a "Trade Feature Celebration Gift" was provided, the developer remains silent on fan feedback.
