How To Get the A Prize Held High Trophy/Achievement in Monster Hunter Wilds

Embark on a side quest in *Monster Hunter Rise* that's surprisingly less about epic monster hunts and more about a tiny crustacean: the Curioshell Crab. This elusive creature is the key to unlocking the "A Prize Held High" trophy or achievement. Forget battling dragons; your target is much smaller—and surprisingly tricky to find!

Contrary to what the trophy name might suggest, you won't find this prize in a dragon's hoard. The Curioshell Crab is your quarry, and your trusty Capture Net is your weapon of choice. While it can pop up in various locations across the game's maps, the Scarlet Forest offers a reliably high chance of encountering one.

Head to Area 6: Flowering Rocks pop-up camp in the Scarlet Forest. If you haven't discovered this camp yet, it's nestled between Areas 2 and 6. Once there, keep an eye out near the water puddles—these are prime Curioshell Crab habitats. If you're having trouble spotting it, your palico companion, Alma, can lend a hand. She'll mention if a creature is holding something, which is your cue that a Curioshell Crab is nearby.

Equip your Capture Net, aim carefully (the reticle will turn orange when you have a good shot), and snag that crab! A successful capture will reward you not only with the Curioshell Crab itself but also an Ancient Wyvern Coin. Remember, these crabs are quick, so anticipate their movements and aim ahead of their path for a successful capture.

While the Scarlet Forest's Area 6 is a reliable spot, you might also find them in Area 13 of the Windward Plains or Area 8 of the Scarlet Forest. Keep in mind that they can appear in other areas as well, but these locations have proven fruitful for our testing.
