Scarlet Girls: Build Your Ultimate 2D Squad - Beginner's Guide

by Benjamin May 06,2025

Dive into the enthralling world of *Scarlet Girls*, a brand-new Idle RPG where you lead an all-girl squad of technologically enhanced mecha waifus. Set in the 119th year of the Old Euro Calendar, the game unfolds in a post-apocalyptic world where mutated animals and powerful beings have pushed humanity to the brink. As one of the last hopes for survival, your mission is to recruit and train these mecha girls to combat the devastating catastromechs and restore peace to Earth. This beginner's guide will help you understand the core mechanics and game modes, enhancing your account's power and progression. Let's get started!

Understanding the Combat Mechanics of Scarlet Girls

The gameplay of *Scarlet Girls* revolves around an Idle-based system, perfect for players who prefer a more relaxed approach to gaming. Combat unfolds in a turn-based sequence, dictated by the Speed stat of each character. A round is complete once all allies and enemies have taken their turns. You can deploy up to five characters in battle, and the game offers a handy feature called Quick Dispatch, which automatically arranges your squad based on their strength. Once set, you can sit back and enjoy the stunning animations of each character's special abilities.

In *Scarlet Girls*, your characters, known as "Stellaris," automatically utilize their active and passive abilities during combat. Each skill has a cooldown period, requiring a specific number of turns before it can be used again. The key to success lies in crafting powerful, synergistic teams of mecha girls to efficiently tackle your enemies. The battles occur in real-time, leaving no room for manual intervention, so your strategy hinges on the strength and composition of your deployed squad.

Each Stellaris belongs to one of four core classes, each with its unique role:

  • Paladins – Boast the highest armor stat, acting as the frontline to absorb enemy attacks and protect their teammates.
  • Support – Equipped with healing and supportive abilities, these Stellaris provide essential utility from the backline.
  • Devastator – Masters of heavy firepower, these Stellaris are designed to deal massive energy damage to enemies.
  • Assaulter – Experts in melee combat, these Stellaris use bladed weapons to inflict significant physical damage.

Echo – The Gacha System of Scarlet Girls

Recruitment of Stellaris is facilitated through the game's gacha system, known as Echo. Stellaris come in various rarities: R, SR, SSR, and SSR+. Higher rarity Stellaris possess superior base stats and more potent abilities, significantly impacting your gameplay. At the global launch, the "Normal Echo" banner is available, allowing you to summon R to SSR Stellaris using Echo tickets or Diamonds. An SSR character is guaranteed within 40 summons, and each summon earns you 20 echo points. Accumulate 2000 points, and you can select a random SSR character from one of the four elemental banners (excluding Nebula). You can track your progress on the right side of the Echo system.

The probabilities of recruiting different rarities of Stellaris are as follows:

  • R Stellaris – 19.979% chance per individual R character
  • SR Stellaris – 2.667% chance per individual SR character
  • SSR Stellaris – 0.133% chance per individual SSR character
  • SSR+ Stellaris – 0.010% chance per individual SSR+ character
