Before the Silent Hill Transmission event, some fans were apprehensive about Silent Hill f, fearing that the series had taken a wrong turn and that the new game might not meet expectations. However, judging by the comments during the livestream—which featured the first trailer—these concerns seem to have been overblown. Fans are absolutely thrilled that the series is finally making a return!
What did we learn? Silent Hill f is taking us back to the 1960s, set in the town of Ebisugaoka, which suddenly became shrouded in fog and turned into a nightmarish trap. Players will take on the role of Hinako Shimizu, an ordinary teenage girl whose life was turned upside down after the town's transformation. She must now navigate this eerie environment, overcoming puzzles and enemies, and ultimately face a difficult final decision.
The game is set to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, with some of the music provided by the legendary Akira Yamaoka, the mastermind behind the soundtracks of previous games in the series. Unfortunately, there is still no release window, but for now, fans seem to be celebrating regardless.
