The Sims franchise is in the midst of a grand celebration for its 25th anniversary, and Electronic Arts has rolled out an exciting roadmap for the festivities. Yet, it appears that there may be more surprises in store for fans. Recently, The Sims released an intriguing teaser filled with nods to the first two games in the series, sparking a flurry of speculation among the community about a potential return of these beloved classics. Although there's no official word from EA yet, insiders at Kotaku hint that by the end of the week, we might see digital PC versions of The Sims 1 and 2, complete with all the original expansion packs.
Should these rumors hold true, the big question on everyone's mind is whether these iconic titles will also see a console release, and if so, when. Given the lucrative nature of nostalgia, it seems unlikely that EA would miss out on such an opportunity.
It's been ages since The Sims 1 and 2 graced our screens, and currently, legal avenues to play these games are virtually nonexistent. A revival of these titles would no doubt bring immense joy to the franchise's dedicated fanbase.
