Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl boasts an impressive array of weapons, catering to every player's preferred style of play. Beyond the standard arsenal, the game features unique named weapons with specialized modifications or enhanced power, and the Cavalier is a prime example. This exceptional sniper rifle comes equipped with a red-dot sight, distinguishing it from traditional scopes and making it lethal at short to medium ranges. Let's delve into how you can secure this remarkable weapon.
To obtain the Cavalier Sniper Rifle, make your way to the Military Unit inside the Duga base in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The rifle is located within a warehouse connected to a greenhouse. If you've previously accessed the Duga base to retrieve the Journalist stash, using the second entrance will be familiar and straightforward.
Upon entering the Duga base, navigate towards the Military Unit building as indicated on your map. Instead of entering the building, proceed around it to reach the greenhouse at the back. Exercise caution, as two Pseudogiants patrol the area and will engage you upon detection. Spot the greenhouse and approach it stealthily to avoid confrontations with these formidable mutants.
Once inside the greenhouse, you'll find yourself in the warehouse. Be prepared for an immediate threat as multiple swarms of rats will emerge and begin to drain your health. Look for the elevated green platforms at the rear of the warehouse and climb them to escape the rats. A well-placed grenade can swiftly deal with the rodent menace.
With the rat problem resolved, direct your attention to the ceiling above the entryway that connects to the greenhouse. You'll notice wooden boards marked with yellow paint. Use your weapon to shoot these boards, causing the Cavalier sniper rifle to fall from above.
After securing the weapon, safely exit the Duga base. You can then enhance the Cavalier by visiting Screw, the technician at Rostok base. This rifle offers maximum damage and excellent accuracy, which can be further refined with upgrades and modifications. For players who prefer a scope-less sniper experience, the Cavalier, with its red-dot sight, is ideal for close to medium-range engagements.
