Star Wars: Hunters is set to shut down before reaching its first anniversary, but it will still celebrate that milestone before closing its doors. The question remains: is it worth celebrating the anniversary of a game on its way out?
Zynga, the game's developer and publisher, is releasing a final content update on April 15th, introducing the last new Support Hunter, Tuya, available for free. On the same day, in-game purchases will be disabled.
Ranked Mode will continue until the servers go offline, and events from the season will be rerun. Players with unspent Crystals should use them before the shutdown, as no refunds will be issued.
From a design perspective, the game missed an opportunity by not leveraging the iconic characters of the Star Wars universe, opting instead for generic original characters.
If you've uninstalled the game but want to give it one last go, it's still available for download on the Google Play Store until the shutdown.
