"Streets of Rage 4 Developers Unveil New Game"

Publisher Dotemu, in collaboration with studios Guard Crush Games and Supamonks, has introduced Absolum—a thrilling fantasy beat 'em up infused with roguelite elements. Set in the mystical world of Talamh, which has been ravaged by a magical cataclysm, the game explores a narrative where magic is feared and exploited. The tyrannical ruler, King-Sun Azra, leverages these fears through his oppressive Crimson Order to enslave mages. However, a courageous band of heroes emerges to challenge his rule. This group includes the necromancer Galandra, the defiant gnome Karl, the mage Brom, and the enigmatic Sidr.

Players can anticipate intense combat with a range of upgradable abilities, powerful combos, and magical spells at their disposal. Absolum offers both single-player and cooperative modes, allowing players to synergize their attacks and execute devastating combined strikes.

The game's immersive soundtrack is being composed by a trio of legendary artists: Gareth Coker, celebrated for his work on Ori and Halo Infinite; Yuka Kitamura, renowned for her contributions to Dark Souls and Elden Ring; and Mick Gordon, the mastermind behind the soundtracks of DOOM Eternal and Atomic Heart.

Scheduled for release in 2025, Absolum will be available on PS4/5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, promising a rich gaming experience across multiple platforms.
