Supergaming\'s Indus surpasses 11 million pre-registrations and introduces new 4v4 deathmatch mode

by David Feb 11,2025

Indus, India's homegrown battle royale game, introduces a thrilling new 4v4 deathmatch mode. This addition follows another significant milestone: the game has surpassed 11 million pre-registrations. However, a full release date remains unconfirmed, with the game currently in closed beta.

Supergaming's Indus, designed specifically for Indian gamers, features a 4v4 deathmatch mode alongside improvements to its audio experience, including enhanced sound effects and music. These updates are available to closed beta participants.

Indus offers standard battle royale gameplay, enhanced by innovative features such as a Grudge system rewarding players for engaging rivals. Initially announced in 2022, the game has undergone several beta phases, consistently adding features and attracting a growing player base. This steady increase in pre-registrations is encouraging, given India's expanding mobile gaming market.

While surpassing 11 million pre-registrations is impressive, the growth rate has slowed compared to previous milestones. The game reached 10 million pre-registrations in March, indicating a less dramatic increase recently.

Anticipation for Indus' public release is high. Despite the addition of new features, the speculated late 2023 release didn't materialize. Hopefully, 2024 will bring a full release or at least a public beta.
