Tears of Themis Drops the Ballad of the Dunes Event with New MR Cards

HoYoverse's Tears of Themis unveils its latest update: "Ballad of the Dunes," a captivating collaboration with Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism. This exciting crossover event merges the game's signature detective work with the rich cultural heritage of Dunhuang, a city nestled on the Gobi Desert's edge.

What's New in "Ballad of the Dunes"?

This event weaves a tapestry of history, romance, and mystery against the backdrop of the ancient Silk Road. Players will unravel intriguing cases steeped in the region's captivating atmosphere. Key additions include:

• Four New MR Cards: Featuring Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius, each card showcases Dunhuang's cultural elements – from graceful apsaras to intricate murals and the unique pipa. Their designs draw inspiration from the Mogao Caves' ancient performers, reflecting the Silk Road's vibrant artistic and cultural fusion during the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD).

• Unique Card Stories: Each MR card ("In the Footsteps of Silk," "Serenade of the Soul," "Reverberation Through Time," and "Void of Creation") boasts a distinct narrative, enhanced by Private Messages offering a deeper dive into Dunhuang's thousand-year history.

Event Rewards:

From February 13th to 20th, 2025, players can earn Camel Bells, S-Chips, and other rewards by completing event tasks. A central game mechanic involves uncovering rewards by flipping cells on a game board. The ultimate prize? A choice of one of the four new Ballad of the Dunes MR cards per round. Flipping 100 cells unlocks the exclusive "Celebration – Dunes" Namecard.
