The much-anticipated update for Torchlight: Infinite has arrived a week after its initial tease, ushering in the season of Sandlord to the action RPG. This season introduces new mechanics, inviting players to build and expand their empire within the Cloud Oasis to optimize their loot collection.
Players can now engage in the thrilling task of defeating enemies in the Netherrealm to gather valuable resources. These resources can be utilized to unlock various bonuses, establish trade routes, and reap economic rewards across five distinct professions.
Adding to the excitement, the corrupted divine channeler Thea joins the roster, equipped with a formidable Desecration skill perfect for those who favor damage-over-time strategies in combat. It seems embracing the darker side can indeed offer some tempting advantages—as they say, the Dark Side does come with its own perks.
The Deep Space region has undergone a significant overhaul to keep the gameplay engaging. A new item, Probes, has been introduced as a reward modifier that can enhance the rewards you receive. However, be warned: the monsters in this region have become tougher, meaner, and riskier, demanding sharp strategic skills to survive each run.
Alongside these changes, new Legendary Stages and the Sea of Rites have been added. In the Sea of Rites, players can take down non-aggressive Goblins, which may lead to the summoning of a secret boss. Additionally, the Sands of Fortune event is running until May 1st, offering players the chance to participate in new tasks for a shot at a $250,000 cash prize pool.
If you're excited to dive into all the new content within this ARPG, you can download Torchlight: Infinite from the App Store or Google Play. The game is free-to-play with in-app purchases available.
