Minecraft players eagerly anticipate Java Snapshot updates, offering glimpses into future additions. Snapshot 25w06a introduces three chicken variants, sure to be highly sought after. This guide details their locations and breeding.
Warm Chickens: These chickens sport yellow and orange plumage, blending into warmer biomes. Find them in:
Cold Chickens: Sporting blue feathers, these chickens inhabit colder biomes:
Temperate Chickens: The classic white chickens, now termed "Temperate Chickens," reside in all non-warm and non-cold biomes.
Collecting these variants requires a bit of effort. Chickens aren't traditionally tamed, but carrying seeds attracts them, allowing you to guide them into enclosures. Remember the potential for long journeys, especially in Survival mode; establishing checkpoints is advisable.
Breeding is straightforward: feed two chickens of the same type seeds to get an egg of that type. For a surprise, feed seeds to two different types; the resulting egg will hatch a random variant.
This guide covers finding and breeding all three Minecraft chicken variants. For more Minecraft tips, learn how to obtain Armadillo Scutes.
