Unraveling the Elemental Forces in Wuthering Waves

Wuthering Waves' elemental system has evolved significantly in Version 2.0. Initially, elements provided character buffs and enemy resistances, lacking deep team synergies. Version 2.0 introduces Elemental Effects, allowing for more direct interactions beyond passive buffs.

Elemental Status Effects and Debuffs:

While some elemental effects existed previously (e.g., Glacio's freeze), Version 2.0 expands this system. Each element now has a unique status effect, often a damage-over-time (DoT) effect. Dodging removes these stacks. Here's a breakdown:

Resonators, Echoes, and Echo Sets:

Currently, the utilization of Elemental Effects is limited. Only a few Resonators, Echoes, and Echo sets interact with them:

Resonators:

• Spectro Rover: Post-Version 2.0 rework, Spectro Rover uniquely applies Elemental Effects. Its Resonance Skill's Resonating Spin variant applies Spectro Frazzle stacks and a Shimmer effect, preventing stack decay, maximizing the effect's duration.

Echoes and Echo Sets:

• Echo Set - Eternal Radiance: (2pc) Spectro DMG +10%; (5pc) Spectro Frazzle inflicts increases Crit. Rate by 20% for 15s; 10 stacks grant a 15% Spectro DMG Bonus for 15s.
• Echo - Nightmare: Increases damage dealt to enemies with Spectro Frazzle by 100%. Provides a Spectro DMG Bonus.

While the current implementation is niche, the introduction of Elemental Effects suggests a potential future shift towards more active utilization within Wuthering Waves' gameplay.
