Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has faced yet another delay, setting its new release target for October 2025. Dive into the latest updates and the game's history of delays to understand the journey of this much-anticipated title.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2's release has been postponed again, now aiming for October 2025. The game's official X (formerly Twitter) account announced this update on March 26, accompanied by a video message from the development team.
In the video, Bloodlines 2 Executive Producer Marco Behrmann shared insights into the game's current state, stating, "The status of the game right now is that the game is done. We are currently working on bug fixing, stability, and performance so we can deliver the best experience to you guys once it releases."
Paradox has been keeping the community informed through Dev Diaries, which have covered characters, stories, and game mechanics. However, to prioritize the game's final polish, all future Dev Diaries have been paused, allowing the developers to concentrate fully on enhancing the game's quality.
The journey of Bloodlines 2 began with its announcement in March 2019, initially targeting a March 2020 launch. Developed initially by Hardsuit Labs, the game saw its first delay to an unspecified date in 2020, followed by another pushback to 2021.
During this period, several key personnel departed from the project. In February 2021, Paradox Interactive made a significant change by shifting development from Hardsuit Labs to The Chinese Room. This transition set new expectations for a late 2024 release, which was later revised to the first half of 2025, and now finally to October 2025.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Stay tuned for further updates by checking out our related articles below!
