Netflix unveiled the opening trailer for its upcoming Devil May Cry anime adaptation, shortly after announcing its April 3, 2025 premiere date. Set to Limp Bizkit's iconic "Rollin'," the trailer showcases dynamic action sequences featuring a young Dante, Lady, and the enigmatic White Rabbit, peppered with nods to the game series.
Showrunner Adi Shankar elaborated on his vision, explaining the series' late 90s/early 2000s setting and its accompanying soundtrack, which will feature a blend of era-defining tracks alongside a synthwave reimagining of the game's music by Power Glove. He hinted at stylistic and musical shifts in future seasons, reflecting the diverse nature of the Devil May Cry games, all but confirming the anime's continuation beyond a single season.
While plot details remain under wraps, the first eight-episode season is expected to adapt elements from the Code 1: Dante manga (based on Devil May Cry 3), focusing on a young Dante's investigation into a child's disappearance, forcing him to confront his past, family, and his demonic father Sparda's legacy.
