In 2022, Innersloth transformed the Among Us experience with a groundbreaking virtual reality version that received widespread praise. Now, they're set to innovate once again with Among Us 3D, a new take that places players into a fully immersive first-person perspective without the need for a VR headset.
Gamers can look forward to the familiar mechanics of Among Us, but with a fresh twist for traditional gaming setups. A teaser trailer gives a sneak peek at how tasks, meetings, and sabotage will be experienced through the eyes of your character. Excitingly, fans will have the opportunity to dive into this new mode during Steam's upcoming "Game On" festival, where a free demo will be available for testing.
Although an official release date hasn't been set, Among Us 3D is slated to launch first on PC. It will be tailored for keyboard and mouse controls, featuring an updated interface to boost accessibility. Cross-play will be supported, allowing Among Us 3D players to join forces with those on Among Us VR, while the original Among Us will continue to operate independently.
To enhance the player experience even further, Innersloth is introducing a new in-game currency called Stardust in the coming months. This will open up more avenues for customization, enabling players to tailor their avatars and engage more deeply with the game's evolving world.
