Alien Movies in (Chronological) Order

1. AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004)

The story of the Xenomorphs begins chronologically with the first of the two crossover films, AVP. Set in 2004, this film directed by Paul W. S. Anderson introduces the "battle of the titans" concept that originated in a 1989 comic. It reveals that Predators, known as "Yautja," have been visiting Earth for millennia. Ancient cults worship them and sacrifice themselves to the Xenomorph Queen's brood—facehuggers—allowing the Predators to hunt the "ultimate prey." Naturally, their 2004 hunting expedition takes a disastrous turn.

2. Aliens vs Predator: Requiem (2007)

Set in modern times and preceding the rest of the Alien franchise, Aliens vs Predator: Requiem continues directly from AVP. An Alien-Predator hybrid, known as the "Predalien," wreaks havoc in a small Colorado town. A veteran Predator arrives to clean up the mess, resulting in intense carnage.
