Crashlands 2 Unveils Legend Mode and Major Updates

by Amelia May 28,2025

A month after its release, Crashlands 2 has garnered acclaim from both critics and players alike. However, developer Butterscotch Shenanigans isn't resting on their laurels. They've just rolled out a significant update that introduces a challenging new mode for seasoned players and a host of features to enrich the already expansive world of Crashlands 2.

The new Legends Mode ramps up the difficulty, making aliens and flora even more formidable, while Flux Dabes becomes more vulnerable. On the flip side, Explorer Mode caters to players seeking a more relaxed experience, perfect for those who just want to enjoy some peaceful fishing.

Responding to player feedback, Butterscotch Shenanigans has reintroduced the Compendium, a beloved feature from the original Crashlands. This tool tracks your discoveries and progress towards unlocking 100% of the game's content, adding a satisfying layer of completionism to the game.

For those who felt the game's opening was too slow, Butterscotch Shenanigans has streamlined the early stages with new weapons, gadgets, and trinkets. This allows players to dive into the full spectrum of Crashlands 2's offerings much sooner.

The update also includes adjustable nighttime darkness, expanded worldspace for building, and home teleporters, making Crashlands 2 even more immersive and enjoyable.
