The upcoming Dragonwilds update addresses issues with Velgar's meteor attacks. Here's what players can expect in patch 0.7.3 and future development plans.
Following several weeks of early access, RuneScape: Dragonwilds continues gaining traction as an open-world survival experience. Jagex revealed Steam patch notes for version 0.7.3 on May 2, introducing cloud saves, Velgar meteor adjustments, and quality-of-life improvements.
The Fellhollow region's dragon encounters remain a central gameplay element, with Velgar posing the greatest challenge. While designed to be formidable, an unintended mechanic made this fiery foe exceptionally dangerous.
Currently, Velgar's meteor strikes penetrate player-built structures, removing potential shelter options. The developers confirm this will be resolved in the update, stating "meteors from the Scaly Scourge will become more manageable."
The update's standout feature enables cross-device progression through Cloud Saves, eliminating the need for local backups. Players have consistently requested this functionality since launch.
Jagex emphasizes ongoing commitment to community feedback, recognizing its vital role in development. Dragonwilds currently maintains "Very Positive" Steam reviews during early access. While Game8 acknowledges the title's promising foundation, we note opportunities for further refinement.
