Driftsmelting Bonanza Arrives in Monster Hunter Now

by Madison Dec 07,2025

  • Monster Hunter Now's exciting new Driftsmelting Bonanza event is on the horizon
  • Beginning June 30th, the Driftsmelting distance requirement drops from 5km to just 1km, lasting through July 6th
  • Defeating featured monsters now grants the new Mysterious Driftstone H, a valuable resource for powerful armor skills

While recent Niantic updates have heavily spotlighted Pokémon Go’s upcoming Stamp Rally and Go Fest 2025, Monster Hunter Now fans can finally celebrate a well-deserved moment in the spotlight. The brand-new Driftsmelting Bonanza event is set to bring thrilling rewards and reduced grind, offering players a fantastic opportunity to enhance their gear and take on powerful monsters with renewed vigor.

Kicking off June 30th and running until July 6th, this limited-time event features increased spawn rates for Teostra, Bazelgeuse, Mizutsune, Nightshade Paolumu, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku, and Great Girros. Each time you defeat one of these formidable creatures, you’ll automatically receive a Mysterious Driftstone H. Please note: during this event, regular Driftstone drops will be suspended in exchange for this exclusive new material.

The Mysterious Driftstone H is one of the event’s standout rewards. When used in Driftsmelting, it can unlock powerful armor skills, including the brand-new Ailment Opportunist—a skill designed to maximize damage against monsters suffering from status effects. Additional potential skills include Status Sneak Attack and Blast Attack, making this a prime opportunity to optimize your build for specific hunting strategies.

Driftsmelting Made Easier

As with all Driftsmelting Bonanza events, the most significant perk is the reduced walking requirement. For this week only, the distance needed for Driftsmelting drops from the standard 5km to just 1km, making it easier than ever to craft and upgrade your gear. Alongside this, rewards from the featured monsters are boosted, giving even more incentive to hunt them down.

Teostra takes center stage as the exclusive Elder Dragon in Elder Dragon Interceptions throughout the event. While it’s a challenging foe, you don’t need to fully slay it to earn the Mysterious Driftstone H—successfully repelling the beast is enough to claim your reward. This makes the event more accessible for players at all skill levels.
