True to FromSoftware's style, Libra promises a challenging encounter with its devastating speed and attacks. Yet, beyond its combat prowess, fans couldn't help but notice Libra's striking appearance.

Comments on YouTube pointed out Libra's uncanny resemblance to Grey Matter, a character from the popular cartoon series Ben 10. This comparison stems from Libra's seemingly massive eyes, which amusingly turned out to be bells hanging from his horns.

This observation also sparked discussions on Reddit following the game's reveal trailer in December 2024, where Libra made a brief appearance. Despite the humorous comparisons, Libra is poised to be a formidable adversary in players' journeys when the game launches.

The gameplay footage revealed Libra as a boss that induces madness, afflicting players with the Madness Status Effect, leading to health and focus point loss alongside stunning effects. Before engaging in battle, players can negotiate a deal with the Scale-bearing Merchant, who offers boosts in strength, resistance to ailments, or protection against death. Alternatively, players can choose to bypass the deal and confront the boss directly. The video, however, leaves the potential drawbacks of this deal ambiguous. Once the deal is made or declined, the Scale-bearing Merchant transforms into Libra, shedding its skin to unveil its true, menacing form.

As the battle escalates, Libra unleashes an increasingly dangerous array of attacks, starting with spell-based projectiles and area-of-effect sigils. After taking significant damage, Libra enters a berserk state, amplifying its melee damage and enhancing its madness-inducing spells, with wider area-of-effect attacks.
