Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge takes a dark turn with the introduction of the Emperor’s Children, a faction that once served the Imperium but turned during the Horus Heresy to follow Slaanesh. Now, they revel in excess, pain, and pushing boundaries to the extreme.

The Emperor’s Children faction introduces three new warlords: Lord Kaphrael, who targets enemy champions and leads the Callous Blades; Xarahan, known for his arrogance; and Lucius the Eternal, bringing centuries of dueling experience to the battlefield. The faction's mechanics are as twisted as their lore, with cards marked with Ecstasy activating effects when their health reaches a certain point, Cruelty providing bonuses for damaging enemies without killing them, Stimulation triggering when targeted by a stratagem, and Combat Elixirs generating additional stratagems.
