Fortnite Reboots Classic Gameplay: Reload Mode Returns!

Fortnite's new Reload mode throws players back to the game's roots with a modern twist! This nostalgic mode packs 40 players onto a smaller map featuring iconic locations from past seasons.

What's the Deal with Reload Mode?

In Reload mode, your squad's fate is tied together. One player standing means you're still in the fight. A full squad wipe is a game over – no second chances. This high-stakes gameplay applies to both Battle Royale and Zero Build modes.

The action unfolds on a compact island, bringing back fan favorites like Tilted Towers and Retail Row. Forget driving; instead, focus on the diverse array of unvaulted weapons, including the Revolver, Tactical Shotgun, Lever Action Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, and Grappler.

Victory Crowns remain in play, and reboots provide a common Assault Rifle (plus building materials in Build mode). The Reboot Timer adds intensity, starting at 30 seconds and increasing to 40 seconds as the match progresses. Eliminating enemies shortens the timer, allowing for quicker revives.

Elimination and Strategy

Elimination isn't just the end. When eliminated, you drop Small Shield Potions, ammo, and building materials (in Build mode), keeping the battle intense and resource-driven.

Complete Quests, Earn Rewards

Reload mode also introduces quests offering substantial XP rewards. Complete three quests for the Digital Dogfight Contrail, six for the Pool Cubes Wrap, nine for the NaNa Bath Back Bling, and a Victory Royale unlocks The Rezzbrella Glider.
