Genshin Impact 5.5 Now Supports Android Controllers

If you're an Android player of Genshin Impact, get ready for some exciting news—controller support is finally making its way to your device with the upcoming Version 5.5 update. It's definitely been a long wait, especially since iOS users have had this feature since 2021.

When Is Controller Support Coming to Genshin Impact on Android?
Mark your calendars for March 26th, 2025, when the update drops and enables full controller compatibility. From that date onward, you'll be able to pair your Android device with a supported game controller and enjoy Genshin Impact without relying on touchscreen controls.

The following controllers will be officially supported:

  • DualShock 4
  • DualSense
  • Xbox Wireless Controller
  • Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2

Please note: All of these require Bluetooth connectivity to function properly.

What Else Is New in Version 5.5?
This update isn’t just about controller support—it brings a host of quality-of-life improvements too. One of the most anticipated features is cross-scene quest tracking, allowing you to follow your objectives across different regions seamlessly. Simply open the map and teleport directly to your next destination without hassle.

Additionally, boss guides are getting a major overhaul, offering newer players a clearer understanding of enemy mechanics. The Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system are all set to receive optimizations, although more detailed information will be shared during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th, 2025.
