The much-anticipated PC release of Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced, Rockstar's next-generation version of the legendary open-world game, is now available. This updated iteration offers significant graphical enhancements and introduces new features such as full DualSense controller support, elevating the gaming experience for PC enthusiasts.
Key upgrades include ray-traced reflections, revamped vehicle designs, and numerous smaller adjustments that enhance the overall visual quality. The popular YouTube channel GameV recently released a side-by-side comparison video, demonstrating the graphical evolution from the original release over the past 12 years. The improvements are particularly striking during rainy nights or in shadowy environments, where advanced global illumination and ray-traced reflections really stand out. However, in sunny conditions, the differences between the original and the enhanced version are less noticeable.
Despite a strong launch—attracting over 187,000 concurrent players on Steam, which exceeds the recent peak of 184,000 for the standard edition—the reception has been mixed. Currently, the game holds a 56% positive review rating on Steam. Many players have questioned the value of this update, citing the subtle visual improvements. Further criticism includes issues with DualSense controller functionality and glitches encountered during character transfers from the original GTA Online. While some users have managed successful transfers, others continue to struggle with ongoing bugs.
