GTA Lead Designer's Techno Spy Thriller MindsEye Unveiled

Leslie Benzies, the renowned former lead game designer behind Rockstar hits like Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, is gearing up to launch his latest project, MindsEye. The game, which recently received a fresh showcase during the PlayStation State of Play, promises to deliver a high-tech spy thriller experience that echoes some familiar elements from Benzies' past work.

The newly released trailer for MindsEye showcases third-person gunplay, high-end cinematics, and dynamic drive-and-gun action, drawing comparisons to Grand Theft Auto. You can immerse yourself in the thrilling cinematic trailer below.

MindsEye follows the story of Jacob Diaz, a protagonist equipped with a neural implant known as the MindsEye. This device, while powerful, has disrupted his memory, leaving him with fragmented flashbacks of his military past. Driven by the need to uncover the truth about his history, Diaz embarks on a perilous mission that puts him at odds with an AI-powered military force determined to thwart him.

Since leaving Rockstar Games, Benzies has established his own studio, Build a Rocket Boy, and has collaborated with Hitman developer IO Interactive on MindsEye. Touted as a AAA action-adventure game, MindsEye is set to debut alongside the Everywhere platform—a concept we've likened to "Big budget Roblox" following our visit to their studio in 2024.
