Hayden Christensen Returns as Anakin in Ahsoka Season 2 - Star Wars Celebration

The recent Star Wars Celebration brought thrilling news for fans: Hayden Christensen is set to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker in Season 2 of the Ahsoka series. While details about Anakin's role remain under wraps, the announcement promises more adventures for Ahsoka with her former master.

During the Ahsoka panel at Star Wars Celebration, Christensen expressed his enthusiasm about returning to the character. "It was a dream to get to do," he remarked, praising the creative approach of using the World Between Worlds. "The way they conceived how to do it was brilliant... I thought it was all really exciting."

Ahsoka's creator, Dave Filoni, humorously noted the lengths he went to bring Christensen back, saying he had to "invent entire dimensions" to make it happen. Christensen also discussed delving deeper into Anakin's activities during the Clone Wars, expressing his excitement about exploring these narratives in live-action. "As much as I love the traditional Jedi robes I wore during the prequels, it was exciting to get to see Anakin with a new look," he shared.

Filoni later highlighted how their collaborative history with George Lucas influenced their approach to Anakin's character. This shared experience allowed them to enhance their portrayal of Anakin by filling in knowledge gaps. Christensen playfully recalled Lucas's direction, saying, "I always have George's voice in the back of my head saying, 'faster, more intense!'"
