Destiny Child, the popular mobile game initially launched in 2016, is making a triumphant return. After its September 2023 "memorial" closure, Com2uS has partnered with ShiftUp to develop a brand-new iteration of the game.

A Fresh Take on a Classic:

This isn't simply a relaunch; Com2uS is creating a completely new Destiny Child experience, this time as an idle RPG. Development is spearheaded by Com2uS's subsidiary, Tiki Taka Studio, known for titles like the tactical RPG, Arcana Tactics. While retaining the beloved 2D character art and emotional core of the original, the new game will feature a revamped gameplay system.

A Trip Down Memory Lane (For Some):

The original Destiny Child, celebrated for its charming characters and real-time combat, concluded its run after nearly seven years. However, ShiftUp released a memorial version, allowing former players a final glimpse at their cherished Childs.

This memorial app, accessible only with verification codes tied to pre-shutdown accounts, showcases the game's stunning character illustrations. While lacking full gameplay, it provides a nostalgic experience for those who played the original. You can download it from the Google Play Store, at least until the new game's release.
