InZOI Director Confirms Community-Wished Features

by Chloe May 13,2025

This week, the developers of InZOI are taking a well-deserved break to celebrate the New Year, enjoying a three-day holiday in South Korea. Before heading off, the project lead, Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim, shared exciting updates on the features that fans have been eagerly requesting for the game, along with insights into which of these will be implemented and to what extent.

In InZOI, players will have the innovative ability to use real facial capture to create templates for crafting zois. This feature, which was highlighted in summer announcements for its convenience, will be further simplified, according to Kjun, to enhance the ease of creating zois. Another much-anticipated feature is the inclusion of pets in the game. Although players won't be able to have their own pets during the early access phase, they can look forward to this addition in future updates. Kjun, being an animal lover himself, is particularly excited about this feature.

The game will also feature tall buildings, but these will be capped at 30 floors. While the game engine could theoretically support higher constructions, this limitation is in place to address potential performance issues and ensure a smooth gaming experience. In addition to these structural elements, InZOI will include gas stations and introduce full-fledged fights, responding to player feedback about the earlier slap mechanic feeling too shallow. Now, the game will feature comprehensive combat scenarios, complete with winners and losers, adding a new layer of excitement to the gameplay.

Recognizing that many newcomers may be unfamiliar with the genre, the developers have also decided to include a tutorial in InZOI. This thoughtful addition demonstrates their commitment to making the game accessible and enjoyable for all players. As of now, Krafton is on track to release InZOI in early access at the end of March, with no further delays currently anticipated.
