InZOI's game director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has unveiled details about the game's unique paranormal elements. Players will gain limited control over ghosts, a mechanic linked to a karma system that tracks character actions and influences their lives, even after death.
Good deeds ensure a peaceful afterlife, while negative actions may condemn characters to an afterlife as a lingering ghost. To move on, these spectral beings must earn missing karma points.

While ghost control is planned for a later update (ghosts will be present but non-playable in early access), the focus remains on realistic gameplay. However, Kim hinted at the potential introduction of further unexplained phenomena in future InZOI updates.
