This iconic anime, while perhaps not as old as some, holds a special place in many fans' hearts. Unlike the more cheerful magical girl series like Sailor Moon, Madoka Magica offers a darker, more cynical take on the genre, exploring the harsh realities of deadly magical battles for young girls.
