While *Marvel Rivals* offers an exhilarating hero shooter experience, it’s not immune to exploitation. NetEase Games has empowered players to report suspicious behavior—but a newly added reporting option called “Bussing” has sparked some confusion. If you’ve come across the term and weren’t sure what it means, here's everything you need to know about Bussing in *Marvel Rivals*, and how to identify and report it effectively.
When reporting a player in *Marvel Rivals*, you’ll find several categories to choose from—like “Throwing” or “Griefing.” The latest update introduced a new one: “Bussing.” And no, it has nothing to do with loud eating or background noise on voice chat. According to official statements from the game team, Bussing refers to players who intentionally join forces with cheaters to artificially boost their own rankings.
This definition was clarified after a player reached out to *Marvel Rivals* support asking for an explanation. As confirmed via Reddit by user Kaimega13 (cited by Dexerto), “Bussing typically refers to players intentionally teaming up with cheaters to boost their game rankings. If you notice any related anomalies, you can report the player by selecting the option.”
Now that you know what to look for, let’s break down how to detect and report this behavior during gameplay.
Detecting cheating teams in *Marvel Rivals* isn’t always subtle. Watching a killcam might reveal red flags—such as uncanny accuracy, unnatural movement, or synchronized actions that suggest unfair advantage. However, not every player on such a team may be guilty of cheating. That’s where the concept of Bussing comes into play.
To spot Bussing, you may need to stay in the match longer than usual. Observe enemy behavior closely:
If so, you may be dealing with a team that includes both cheaters and Bussers—players riding the coattails of cheaters to climb the ranks unfairly. While investigating, avoid reporting immediately. Instead, use in-game chat to engage and assess whether the player is knowingly involved or just caught in the wrong match.
Once you're confident, make use of the reporting system and select “Bussing” as the reason. Your input helps keep the competitive integrity of *Marvel Rivals* intact.
