"Monster Train: A Slay the Spire-Style Game Launches on Android"

Monster Train, a captivating roguelite deck-building game, has now made its way to Android devices after its initial release on PC in 2020, followed by consoles and iOS in 2022. Often compared to the acclaimed Slay the Spire due to its genre and gameplay, Monster Train offers a unique experience that Android users can finally enjoy.

What Does Monster Train Bring to Android?

Set on a train descending into the frozen heart of hell, your mission in Monster Train is to safeguard the last burning pyre from heavenly invaders. What sets this game apart is its innovative use of three vertical lanes, challenging you to manage battles across multiple fronts simultaneously.

As you progress, you'll unlock over 250 cards and explore five distinct monster clans, each with unique gameplay mechanics. You can mix and match two clans at a time, adding depth and variety to your strategy. Each clan also features ten levels of upgrades, allowing you to enhance your cards and champions—key players who can be upgraded multiple times for increased power.

The Android version of Monster Train includes all the latest updates, such as Wild Mutations and Friends & Foes. Wild Mutations introduces 35 new mutators and new difficulty settings, while Friends & Foes adds new champions, bosses, cards, and artefacts, enhancing the gameplay further.

Additionally, The Last Divinity DLC enriches the game with a new clan, the Wurmkin, unlocked after beating Covenant level 1. This DLC introduces the Pact Shards mechanic, providing new powers and culminating in a formidable endboss, 'The Last Divinity,' significantly boosting the game's replay value.

Will You Try It Out?

Monster Train's Android version is fully playable offline, even in airplane mode, and is available for $10. In-app purchases are minimal and mainly involve unlocking the full game. Once purchased through your Google account, your progress carries over across devices thanks to cloud saves. However, note that there is no controller support. Dive into the thrilling world of Monster Train by checking it out on the Google Play Store.
