As a result, fans might receive their invitation emails to purchase the console after the Switch 2 launch. However, Nintendo assures that the shipping date will be confirmed upon purchase. The company expressed its gratitude and excitement over the high demand, stating, "Thank you to those of you who have already registered your interest in purchasing from My Nintendo Store. We're thrilled by the enthusiasm for Nintendo Switch 2! Due to the very high demand, we will be working diligently to fulfill orders as product becomes available, but delivery by June 5 is not guaranteed. Nintendo also suggested that fans might have a better chance of securing a Switch 2 at launch by pre-ordering from third-party retailers. According to the FAQ on Nintendo's website, the first batch of invitation emails for the U.S. My Nintendo Store will be sent out starting May 8, 2025, with additional batches following periodically until purchasing is open to everyone. These initial invitations will be sent on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible registrants who meet specific priority criteria. Invitees will have 72 hours to complete their purchase once the email is sent.
