As part of IGN Live, we’re thrilled to bring you an exclusive first look at the initial two minutes—equal parts terrifying and undeniably adorable—of the debut episode of Crunchyroll’s *Nyaight of the Living Cat*. In addition, we’re proud to announce a unique in-game collaboration with *Dead by Daylight*, bringing feline-themed content to Behaviour Interactive’s popular survival horror title.

The preview clip, available below, sets the tone for the series by introducing our main characters as they navigate a dark and eerie world. Just when it seems like they're caught in a classic horror scenario, the twist hits: the lurking terror isn’t a zombie or monster—it's a swarm of irresistibly cute cats. These fluffy little terrors may look innocent, but one touch is all it takes to transform a person into a cat themselves.

In a dramatic moment, one of the characters stumbles and is quickly overtaken by the feline horde. Instead of being attacked, he’s smothered in affectionate kitty kisses—which unfortunately turns him into a cat too. It’s a horrifying yet somehow heartwarming twist on the apocalypse genre.

As for the *Dead by Daylight* crossover, while details are still under wraps, fans won’t have to wait long for more information. Expect exciting reveals about this cuddly-yet-chilling collaboration coming soon in the “near future.”

Nyaight of the Living Cat will premiere in Japan on TV Tokyo and other major stations, with Crunchyroll offering a simulcast for U.S. audiences and beyond starting July 6, 2025. The series originated from a Japanese manga written by Hawkman and illustrated by Mecha-Roots. Its premise centers around a mysterious virus that spreads through contact with cats, turning victims into felines themselves. The story follows Kunagi, who must fight to resist the overwhelming urge to pet or befriend these dangerously charming creatures in order to survive.
