GungHo Entertainment, the creators of the popular crossover card-battler Teppen, is partnering with Disney to release a retro-style RPG: Disney Pixel RPG. Expected to launch around September of this year, this pixel art adventure promises a nostalgic trip through the Disney universe.
A Pixelated Disney Adventure
Disney Pixel RPG features a vast cast of beloved Disney characters, from Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck to Aladdin, Ariel, Baymax, and even characters from Zootopia and Big Hero 6. Players create and customize their own avatars, joining forces with these iconic figures to restore order to a chaotic Disney world.
A bizarre program is causing havoc, merging previously separate Disney worlds in unexpected and exciting ways. Gameplay blends action, battles, and rhythm challenges across multiple environments. Combat allows for both strategic command input (Attack, Defend, Skill) and a convenient auto-battle mode.
Customization extends beyond character creation. Players can mix and match hairstyles and outfits, including Disney-themed gear, allowing for personalized avatar expression. Expeditions send characters on resource-gathering quests, yielding valuable rewards upon their return.
Whether you're a Disney enthusiast or a pixel art aficionado, Disney Pixel RPG is a game worth checking out. Pre-registration is open on the Google Play Store. For more gaming news, be sure to read about the opera-themed update for Reverse: 1999.
