PUBG Mobile officially kicks off the Global Open with almost 100,000 participants

The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) kicks off with a massive $500,000 prize pool and over 90,000 competitors vying for glory. The Open Qualifiers, which started February 13th, provide a platform for aspiring PUBG Mobile esports athletes to showcase their skills.

This year's PMGO is the first international PUBG Mobile esports event, offering a unique opportunity for amateur teams to compete against established organizations. The tournament's amateur-only format ensures fresh talent takes center stage.

Teams featuring at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Upcoming weeks will see intense competition as teams fight for a spot in the PMGO Prelims, where they'll face off against the top performers from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.

Twelve teams will ultimately emerge from the Prelims to challenge the elite professional teams in the PMGO Main Event. Four professional teams – Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage – have already secured their Main Event spots based on their impressive PMGC 2024 performances. Four more will join them, qualifying through regional competitions like the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.

The Open Qualifiers conclude on March 2nd, followed by the Prelims (April 10th-11th) and the Main Event (April 12th-13th). This tournament marks the beginning of a thrilling year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and PMGC also on the calendar for 2025.
