Rust Unveils Major Update with Improved Cooking and Farming

Rust, the renowned multiplayer survival game, has just released a significant update known as The Crafting Update. This patch introduces a variety of new features designed to enhance players' creative capabilities. One of the standout additions is the culinary workbench, where survivors can now grill chicken legs and enjoy them with a shot of Siberian vodka. Cooking involves specific recipes, and well-prepared meals offer stat boosts and gameplay-enhancing modifiers, adding a new layer of strategy to the game.

Players can now keep chickens and chicks in coops, where they will live, lay eggs, and flourish if properly cared for. Each chick has four essential attributes to monitor: Hunger, Thirst, Love, and Sunlight. Neglecting any of these can lead to the birds' demise. Chicken meat, however, will spoil over time, becoming unusable unless stored in a working refrigerator. To aid in managing perishables, food items now display timers indicating their expiration dates.

For those with a penchant for sweets, wild beehives can be discovered on trees. Extracting honeycombs requires care, and they must be relocated to player-crafted hives made from wooden boxes. Bees are not to be underestimated; players need protective suits, water dousing, or even flamethrowers to avoid stings. A novel weapon, the Bee Grenade, looks like a jar of honey but, when broken, unleashes three swarms of aggressive bees, compelling players to seek safety quickly.

The engineering workbench has undergone a complete redesign, now boasting a separate tech tree for plumbing and electricity. This update empowers players to construct automated systems and even full-scale factories, revolutionizing the building aspect of the game. Additionally, developers have introduced premium servers, exclusively accessible to players whose Rust inventory exceeds a value of $15. This initiative aims to create a more secure and enjoyable environment by filtering out cheaters and disruptive players, catering to the dedicated Rust community.
