Exciting news for fans of farm life sim RPGs: My Time at Sandrock is making its way to mobile devices! The game, which hit PC platforms in 2023, developed by Pathea Games and a sequel to the beloved My Time at Portia from 2019, is gearing up for an Android beta test. On Steam, it's published by PM Studios and Focus Entertainment, while the upcoming mobile test in China is managed by Conscience Studio.
This marks the inaugural mobile test for My Time at Sandrock. The developers are treating it as a technical trial to assess how the game adapts to mobile environments. They're fine-tuning aspects like resource loading and optimization, so some hiccups might be expected.
The exclusive Android beta test will be conducted on the Haoyou Kuaibao platform, and it's limited to China. If you're in China and eager to participate, you can apply until January 22nd. The test itself will commence on January 23rd.
Keep in mind that your saves will be wiped at the end of the test. However, you'll have the chance to dive back into a new adventure after completing the first 30 days of in-game content, spanning the first 13 chapters. If you're interested and located in China, make sure to visit the official beta test page.
Set in a post-apocalyptic desert world 300 years after the Day of Calamity, a catastrophic event that obliterated modern technology, My Time at Sandrock casts you as the newest Builder in the town of Sandrock. Your journey involves gathering resources, crafting machines, building relationships with the townsfolk, and even fending off monsters. The game's art style is uniquely quirky and endearing, which you can see in the trailer below:
