The Sims 4 History Display Guide: Exploring Time's Treasures

by Isabella Feb 20,2025

Week 2 of The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event presents a puzzling challenge: studying a Historical Display. This guide will help you overcome this obstacle.

Locating a Historical Display:

The Week 2 quest requires interaction with a Historical Display located within a museum. Experienced players likely know their local museum's location. New players should consult their in-game map, searching for the pillar icon representing museums. While four exist, the Municipal Museum in Willow Creek and The Future's Past in Oasis Springs are conveniently close to other event tasks.

Studying the Display:

Upon entering a museum, locate either a painting or sculpture (both qualify as Historical Displays). Click on the chosen item and select the "View" option. Successful completion is indicated by the appearance of the Emit icon.

Troubleshooting:

Many players report difficulties, often attributed to conflicting mods. If the "View" option is unresponsive, consider temporarily disabling mods. If the problem persists, attempting multiple displays across various museums might resolve the issue. Hopefully, EA will address this bug soon.
